Unable to create DeltaChat account #9

Not sure what the issue is here-- Do we need clearer instructions/steps, or is something not working on the box properly? Or is the integration not complete yet?

Steps:

  • Following the instructions on the portal, I tap (select) "secure messaging" tile

  • Tap "Step 1" download & install deltachat apk directly from box

  • Once app is downloaded & Installed and the DeltaChat (DC) interface is available

  • I tap "Step 2" Create offline account in the BB portal, which displays a username, password and IP address.

  • Navigating back to the DC interface I tap "create new profile"

  • First I tried entering the username provided from the box in the "Your name" field and then selected "agree & create profile"

    • It processes, never completing past 60% and then I receive an error (see image 1)

  • I also tried the username with @butterbox.local --> still received the same error

  • I tried username with @ IP address --> still received the same error

  • I also tried selecting "Use Other Server" and inputing the username, password and IP address in various combinations.

    • This time the error was different (see image 2)

  • From here I eventually try all the combinations for creating an account

    • See video in element (I couldn't get the video to upload here).
