The 3rd-party messaging containers can end up in an inconsistent state where the easiest solution is to wipe out their data and restart them, and then relink the handsets to restore the channels:

  • signal-cli-rest-api
  • whatsapp

The script should be the equivalent of the old docker compose down -v signal-cli-rest-api followed by up -d signal-cli-rest-api.
